2010 is a nice, round number. it's also the year i will turn 25, which is also a nice sounding number.
this, in junction with traditional january optimism, suggests that this is the year i will make some radical, life affirming change. find myself, or Jesus, or enlightenment, or waldo, and sprout beautiful butterfly wings.
don't get me wrong. i'm not cynical about all self-improvement. just when it comes to improvement of MY self.
