Stacey just had her 21st birthday party a while back, and had a kid themed party. there was an astro-jump AND chicken dinosaur nuggets. AND alcohol.
a lot of my friends were depressed at some point that we were entering our 20-somethings.
i dunno, never bothered me much. maybe cuz i never felt i had to "put away childish things." i really see no reason why we can't enjoy the same things we did when we were young. it's true that we have added responsibilities and have to get like, jobs and all that. but as long as we're handling those responsibilities, who cares if we don't "act our age?"
you gotta take joy where ever you find it. sometimes that means cartoons, or toys, or both.
that's part of why i love being a geek. the geek/nerd/fanboy community already embraces this idea, and isn't afraid to indulge in what they find fun, even if other people think it's childish or uncool.
so f*** it. buy a toy. watch some cartoon network. read some x-men. try world of warcraft. BE UNCOOL. BE CHILDISH. just be HAPPY.
