"And yes, it's too late for THE OFFICE..."

"...Some execs refuse to read [OFFICE spec scripts], even."

Yeah... a minor setback. and by "minor" i mean "DAMMIT!"

The quote is from a blog i subscribe to called Amanda the Aspiring TV Writer which gives some pretty good insight into the TV writing game. the author is an assistant at an agency whose TV lit assistant gave her the aforementioned advice.

Apparently, in the tv spec game, the best choices are successful shows that have been around for at least 2 years, but not more than 5. i guess the office passed its "spec'ing" prime, being as popular as it was. there probably were (or are) a crapload of Office specs floating around Hollywood, and i guess it makes sense that people are tired of seeing them, or that there's not much that hasn't been done.

i guess that's just how the game goes. which doesn't bode well for me at the moment.

plan B. gotta start a crash course on 30 Rock.

Is anyone a fan? or would anyone like to become one with me?
