i meant to post this at some point: the huge stack of graphic novels i bought at Comic-Con:
-Civil War: Fantastic Four - the first family of marvel SPLITS UP
-Civil War: Iron Man - if you're anti-registration and hate tony stark, READ THIS. it may not sway you, but it really helps you see his side.
-Spider-Man and Black Cat - by the one and only Kevin Smith!
-Marvel 1602 - by the one and only Neil Gaiman!
-Marvel 1602: Fantastic Four - not by Gaiman, but still interesting
-The Walking Dead Vol. 3-7 ... yes, i bought five of these... what of it?
-Spider-Man: The Other - Spidey evolves organic webbing, and other kooky mystical hijinx. find out how!
-X-Men: Phoenix Endsong - when a dead Jean Grey comes back again... and then dies... again...
-X-Men: Deadly Genesis - i need to catch up on recent history
-X-Men: Decimation: The Day After -right after the House of M fiasco
-X-Men: First Foursaken - explains how Psylocke came back to life!
-New X-Men: Childhood's End - i like these kids. plus, wolverine's (female) clone!
-The Ultimates 2: Vol.2 - a great retelling of a great story... wish i had vol. 1 though
-Buffy Season 8: The Long Way Home - i have these issues, but for the sake of rereading, i got the trade paper-back... for $5!
BOTTOM LINE (cuz you probly skipped a bunch of that):
i got 18 graphic novels, which total, retail at $285.75
all of which were at least 50% off, or flat out 5 bucks each.
i estimate i payed just over $100.
which is not. that. bad.
