Lately i've been getting a lot of those questions at work from my co-workers.
"Are you still in school?"
"Do you have another job besides this one?"
"So what do you DO besides this?"
"This is IT for me," i often say. besides writing. which honestly, I don't often bring up, because it begins the line questioning about what i write, and what it write it FOR. and unless they're the kind of people who seen genuinely interested, i don't think my answer will satisfy them.
i've applied for another job recently. but i haven't really told anyone about it besides Michelle. i guess i don't want to jinx it. or i don't want people to get their hopes up and have to tell them later that etc. etc. maybe i don't want to get my own hopes up either.
my mom is a big fan of "The Secret," which was summarized to me by an old friend of my friends, who said (rather unimpressed), "be happy and good things will happen." perhaps i shouldn't jinx everything with blatant proclamations of cynicism, so i'll just say hey... wouldn't it be nice if that were true?

I say live by that credo, brother.
I wasn't quoting anything. I was paraphrasing a quote from Eckhart Tolle who used Einstein as an example. But of course, he must've plagiarized that from the skaters.
