there's something more visceral about writing by hand as opposed to typing. and i'm referring to writing creatively moreso than like, essays. (although i suppose one could be passionately and fervently scrawling out a research paper as well. maybe.)
you can be more aggressive, and expressive when writing with a pen, and it shows on the paper. and i think that's something i forgot over the past few years, especially at college with my laptop. cuz once i started taking notes via lappy, i really didn't hand write much of anything anymore.
but i did recently, maybe a few days ago. a couple pages of some semi-free-written little blurb of a short story. but it's a good feeling. i'm glad i found that again.
