"i'm going to go pro!" said the boy, as he left the front door, strapping up his shiny red boxing gloves.
"good for you!" they said as he jogged away.
"i'm going to go pro!" said the boy as he ran through the town square, shadowboxing all the way.
"you're gonna make it!" they cheered.
"i'm going to go pro!" the boy said as he passed the old school, sparring the air.
"great form!" they nodded.
"i'm going to go pro!" said the boy as he ran by the gym at the end of town,
where a friend promptly punched him in the face.
waking up in the dirt, the boy's vision cleared as his friend helped him up.

and his red gloves didn't matter anymore. and the dirt that smudged his face didn't matter either.
the boy was up (not in the dirt), and he had better perspective from seeing things from the floor. and his friend was right next to him, having helped him to his feet. and hordes of friends still watched from the sidewalk, cheering him back to the gym for more.
